Easter Down South- Part 1 2026

11 Second Avenue, Peaceful Bay, 6-4-2026

I can't quite believe how much time we're having off and how relaxed I feel!

We had Wed and Thursday last week in Albany with and Dad. I was strictly speaking 'working from home' , and I did do some work, albeit at a gentle pace. But I also took Dad to the doctor, went for walks with mum, and did a bit of shopping. It was great to see both of them.

We headed out to Peaceful Bay on Friday, and have thereafter been relaxing. We have no kids with us, Wayne and Julie are not here, so its been super quiet. We caught up with Warren, Cynthia, Andrew, Caitlin and kids, and Suzanne and Gary; also Tim and Vicky.

But mostly we've been getting lots of sleep, actually reading books, and just pottering around. The weather has been pretty decent, and I've spent quite a lot of time on the couch, my favourite place in the whole world!

It’s now Easter Monday and we're watching Married At First Sight (sadly we are addicted!). Didi and Kaye just came around for pre-dinner drinks, after a chilled day. I had a sleep-in (nine hours sleep, which is a record for me!). Warren dropped by for morning tea before he went home, then I made the 'for sale' signs for the Nissan and parked it up near the shop. This was followed by a short walk, some work,  reading, and mosaic. I'm currently making a whole school of fish. Pretty close to a perfect day!

We have until Friday here (Wed to Friday I will mostly be working), then we relocate to Denmark. Mark has a gig at Bar Tarifa on Friday night. We will then stay the night in Denmark and then head back to Perth Saturday morning. The kids are having 40 people over for their 24th birthday on Saturday night so we better get home!
